The client journey for new hair trends or styles is really taking place on Pinterest. We realized that, from speaking with our Concierge team, we were helping our Covet Collective match colors to photos pinned on Pinterest. We know that consumers often look to Pinterest for ideas and inspiration, so we joined the platform to help provide guidance, innovation and excitement around Covet & Mane hair and the hair extension industry as a whole.

To try to figure out what could have happened here, we went right to the expert. Dafina Smith, CEO and Founder of Covet & Mane, does not think this chunky layer was purposeful. “It would have been more exaggerated or architectural a la Edward Scissorhands if it was intentional,” she tells STYLECASTER.

As Katy Kavrazonis, an extension specialist and educator at Covet and Mane, told The Zoe Report, "Pastels and vibrant colors are a great way to have fun with your hair, and you don't have to stay married to the color for too long."

The patent-pending cut-point wefts allow hairstylists to cut and tailor extensions to fit each client’s individual head for a natural, virtually undetectable look. The hand-tied wefts are light and very flexible, causing minimal damage even on fragile hair.

Likewise, with most of the world continuing to work from home, Katy Kavrazonis, Covet and Mane’s lead educator, thinks fashion colors will emerge again. “Pastels and vibrant colors are a great way to have fun with your hair, and you don’t have to stay married to the color for too long,” she explains. “Fashion colors fade quickly so they are temporary!” But, as you typically need to first bleach your hair for a fun color, it’s not quite for those who prefer a low-maintenance look.

The powerhouse has done just about everything, from being a buyer for Bloomingdale’s to working in real estate (where she closed deals for high-end clients like Beyoncé—yes, that Beyoncé). Now? She’s the CEO of her own hand-tied extension company, Covet & Mane.
